Fayetteville Mineral Rights
The Fayetteville Shale was named after Fayetteville, Arkansas, where the surface outcrops of this formation were first observed. The formation covers over 5,000 square miles in the Arkoma Basin in
Arkansas.
As a result of George P. Mitchell’s horizontal drilling and fracturing techniques in the Barnett Shale in the 1980s and 1990s, this “tight” gas reservoir has also turned into a productive play. Royalty Clearinghouse is seeking acquisition opportunities in this important play.
