HAYNESVILLE-BOSSIER

Haynesville-Bossier Mineral Rights

The Haynesville Shale was named after a town in Claiborne parish, Louisiana. The formation covers over 9,000 square miles in southwestern Arkansas, northwestern Louisiana, and eastern Texas. In Texas, it is known as the Bossier Shale. As a result of George P. Mitchell’s horizontal drilling and fracturing techniques in the Barnett Shale in the 1980s and 1990s, this “tight” gas reservoir has also turned into a productive play. Royalty Clearinghouse is seeking acquisition opportunities in this important play.
